Brighter Day Trio
Today's Traditional Sound
Ron Crandall has been singing Southern Gospel music for more than 30 years all over the state of Texas.

Ron started with a group of guys from the east side of Houston who called themselves the Valdaires.  This talented group sang together for 13 years and built a stellar reputation.

Ron later joined The Gospel Echoes, a group which, after many years, became Brighter Day.

Not long ago, having watched the incredible success of groups like Greater Vision and The Booth Brothers, Ron tossed out the idea of developing a trio.  Brighter Day is the result.

Ron and his wife Janice are members of Champion Forest Baptist Church and are parents of two grown sons, Ron, Jr. and Paul, who live with their families in the Houston area.
Roger Clayton loves to sing, and if you've heard him, you know that he loves to move.  A lot.  There's even a story that Roger's first choir director taped an "X" on the stage to keep him in one place during performances.  Roger, of course, ignored him.

Roger joined The Gospel Echoes (the forerunner of Brighter Day) in 2006, and we're ever so grateful that we found him.

Roger and his wife Karen live in Houston, and have been members of Bear Creek United Methodist Church for more than 20 years.  Roger leads the contemporary music ministry at Bear Creek, and Karen is the heartbeat of numerous ministries within the church and the community.

Their daughter, Allye, is a junior at Texas A&M, and their son Roger (a recent graduate of the University of Texas) begins his second year of seminary studies at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey.
Bryan Darwin has been singing since childhood, and spent four wonderful years with the Texas A&M University Singing Cadets.  In the spring of 1979, Bryan, through an assembly of people and circumstances that only God could have orchestrated, gave his heart to Jesus Christ.

Son Josh and his wife Kylee live in Houston with Bryan's grandson, Caleb.  Bethany, his daughter, and her husband, Kevin, live in Crockett, TX with the most beautiful little girl in East Texas, Dana Joy.

In early 2001, Bryan met Ron Crandall and accepted an invitation to sing with The Gospel Echoes.

Bryan teaches 7th grade math in Katy ISD.
